Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Information

About the treatment

Do you suffer from uneven skin tone, freckles, Melasma, acne scars, age spots or general redness (blushing)?  For fast, non-invasive, effective, and long lasting results laser skin rejuvenation (pigmentation or general redness) may be the treatment you have been looking for.

How both treatments work

Pigmentation –  Class IV medical grade laser targets pigmentation using a beam of light at a wavelength to target melanin in the skin. It effectively treats freckles and pigmentation ranging in colour from light to dark brown caused by sun damage or hormonal changes. The skin rejuvenation treatment improves your complexion by stimulating collagen production in the deep layers of your skin.

General Redness – Class IV medical grade laser specifically targets the blood supply in the skin to reduce flushing, blushing and general skin redness.

What is pigmentation

There are two types of pigmentation. Hyperpigmentation – is darker in appearance to the rest of the skin on the face and body, where as Hypopigmentation is the loss of pigmentation (whiter/paler than the rest of skin).

Types of pigmentation we can treat include:

  • Freckles
  • Sun damage
  • Melasma/Chloasma
  • General unevenness of skin colour (brown patches, reddish spots/acne scars)
  • Post trauma increase in pigmentation
  • Lentigines (liver spots/age spots)
